This coffee pot is similiar to the faberware but it is a cheap made in China replacement.
However, the quality is very good and the coffee has been delicious. It may indicate a weak spot. I'm really enjoying my new percolator. I would have liked knowing that the cover was attached to the main body of the percolator.
If you're looking for a nice looking percolator, this is the one.Enjoy your cup of coffee. I am going to get one for my mother because she loves it also. I really enjoy my cup of coffee and this one does it just right. I really like this coffee percolator.
I contacted FARBERWARE Corporation for a glass replacement, but they do not offer one. That is the BIGGEST drawback with this percolator.
Top can come off while pouring coffee and someone could get scalded. Could be a potentially dangerous item.
Great pot ~ except for the clear PLASTIC knob on top. Purchased new plastic replacement tops from Farberware, but the same thing happened.
Farberware didn't stand behind their product when I informed them of the problem. After two or three uses, the base of the knob melts during percolation and the knob cannot be used any longer.
Generic glass percolator tops do not fit.
coffee did not perk very good and coffee grounds in the coffee.
